Are you accepting new patients?

Our doctors are not currently accepting new patients.

To find a family doctor, use Health Care Connect. Health Care Connect is a Government of Ontario service that helps Ontarians who are without a family doctor to find one. People without a family health care provider are referred to a family doctor or a nurse practitioner who is accepting new patients in their community.

I am waiting for a response from Health Care Connect, how do I speak with a doctor more urgently?

During the COVID-19 outbreak, Northumberland family doctors’ offices are doing their best to provide virtual consults (by phone, or video call) to help the community.

Some of the Northumberland doctors and nurse practitioners are opening windows of time when we can accept calls from local individuals who do not have a family doctor.

How can I access urgent care?

Nurse practitioner rapid access clinic available for patients of the NFHT (including Cobourg Clinic) who need an urgent appointment and are unable to get one at their doctor’s office.  This is an alternative to using a walk-in clinic.

  • You MUST have a family doctor with the Northumberland Family Health Team and a valid Ontario Health Card

  • Emergencies should still go to the hospital Emergency Department

What programs and services are available to me as a patient of the Cobourg Clinic?

The Cobourg Clinic is part of the Northumberland Family Health Team, allowing patients access to a multitude of free allied health care services such as chiropody, mental health, smoking cessation, healthy living, seniors wellness, medication support, nutritional counselling and many more! Please inquire with your doctor if you would like to access any of these services.

How can I access an electronic copy of my child’s immunizations?
